York Foods Regularly Exceeds Requirements For The Following Certifications: Your Guarantee Of Quality

Export Certification #133

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) provides inspection, verification and certification services for the export meat industry in Australia and is the certification body to York Foods.
The services include:

  • The provision of export certification accepted by Australia’s trading partners
  • A scientifically based inspection system that underpins the production of wholesome meat products
  • A capacity for ongoing scientific review of the inspection system
  • The provision of inspection services and veterinary oversight, as required, to all organisations registered for export with DAFF
  • Audit activities that verify industry compliance with the Export Control Act 1982 and subordinate orders, including overseas market access requirements and Approved Arrangements.

HACCP

HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is a risk management methodology used by food and related industries for the control of food safety hazards to acceptable risk levels.
York Foods identifies and manages hazards, reducing the risk of food contamination through the development, implementation and ongoing operation of comprehensive, HACCP-based Food Safety Programs.  Customers can be confident their purchase from York Foods is produced using safe HACCP guidelines.

NSW FOOD AUTHORITY

The NSW Food Authority is a government agency that works to ensure food sold in the State is safe and correctly labelled,enabling consumers to make informed choices about the food they eat.  Responsible to the Minister for Primary Industries, the Authority provides a single point of contact on food safety and regulation for industry, local government and consumers.

ORGANIC CERTIFICATION

All York Foods products are natural, 100% free from preservatives and chemicals.
Several of the York Foods products are Organic Certified   The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia (NASAA).  Organic certification involves production using methods that do not include modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Organic foods are not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents or chemical food additives.

AUSTRALIAN MADE

York Food products are ‘Products of Australia’
This Australian Made logo is a certification trade mark, registered with the Federal Government, and with a strict set of rules (Code of Practice) governing how it can be used. Products must be registered with AMCL and must meet the criteria in the Code of Practice to use the logo.
